When you are searching for a payday lender there are two types of companies that you can apply to, a broker or direct with the lender. Going direct to the lender is self explanatory, that is the company that actually provides the loan. A broker however will have access to several lenders and does not loan the money out directly but forwards on your application to the most relevant lender. Some people prefer to go direct with payday lenders not brokers.
There is however some consternation amongst borrowers as to whether or not applying for a payday loan via a broker is best or if it is better to go directly to the lender themselves. The short answer to this is that there is no right or wrong answer as you will not always get a cheaper loan if you go directly to the lender rather than a broker. In many cases it often makes sense to apply through a broker if you have specific circumstances that may make it more difficult to get a loan.
Finding loans till payday can be problematic if you have difficult circumstances to consider. Most providers like you to be in full time employment with a consistent income at a certain minimum level being paid into your bank account every month. If you applied directly to this lender and you did not meet this criteria you would be refused a loan. You would then have to search out another payday lender and start the whole process again. In this sort of situation it would make more sense to apply through a broker who can apply to several lenders on your behalf increasing your chances of getting accepted.
There are many people who do not meet the ideal loan customer profile, you may only work part time, be self employed, you may have retired or you may be in receipt or disability benefits or other state payments. Some people are in a situation where they have a current CCJ against them, are in mortgage arrears, be recently discharged, have an IVA or be in arrears with their mortgage lender. This can make it more difficult to be accepted to get loans till payday and so it would be beneficial to get a broker to find you a lender especially if you need the cash quickly.
